Backerkit is a website we’ll send you to when it comes time to collect your mailing address and shipping costs. It’s also one of the ways that we’ll be delivering you digital files. Look for Backerkit emails to be sent out a couple of months after the campaign ends.

We’ll compile all the backers from all three campaigns after they wrap and then add the coin to all valid backers in our Pledge Manager. Remember, you need to back our campaign at a physical level in order to get the coin.

Your card will be charged when the Kickstarter ends (August 3rd). If your card fails that day, it will be reattempted for about a week. If it still fails, you’ll still be able to pop into the Pledge Manager in a few months and fix it there.

Digital items will be released in a few months, first as a beta version for playtest, typos, and feedback and then a few months later as a physical product. Final digital products will be delivered through both Backerkit and DriveThruRPG.

[Gameplay] I play D&D. Is this usable for that?
Yes! The Map Collection is 100% system-neutral, meaning it’s just maps and no other details that would require the use of a particular system. Limithron’s Guide to Naval Combat is also tailor-made for 5e D&D players. Everything else is made for PIRATE BORG, which is still a D20 system, just more rules-light.

[Gameplay] I play MÖRK BORG. Is this usable for that?
Absolutely! They’re about 90% the same, with the key difference being that PIRATE BORG has an extra attribute: SPIRIT. You should have no problem taking one of our adventures and running through it in with Mörk Borg; just convert SPIRIT to PRESENCE. The exception to this is Limithron’s Guide to Naval Combat, which is designed for D&D 5e.

[Product] Which printing of the PIRATE BORG core book will ship with this Kickstarter?
The first printing. That means it includes two bookmark ribbons, the A3 Dark Caribbean/Black Coral Bay map, and an errata sticker. Retailers who back the project will receive the 4th printing instead, which does not come with the map or sticker.

With a very few exceptions, the answer is yes! We have fulfilment warehouses in the US and UK. EU and UK will be DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), which be part of your shipping costs. North and South America will ship from the US warehouse, and everything else will ship from the UK. We are not offering shipping to Belarus, Brazil, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.

It will be shipping in the same box as your other pledge items, so your cost increase will be a few dollars. We’ve done this on the last project, shipping several hundred mats, and we had zero negative feedback from backers.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
